How to become a resident Artist = Angel

Are you ready to showcase your artworks on a monthly base ?

We have room for more resident Artist = Angels!

Due to the Angels commitment Jana’s RedRoom has the ability to let new coming, emerging artist showcase their artworks on a low-cost for the 1st time.

We are looking currently for new artists who are willing to make a 3 – 6 month commitment to showcase their artworks in our Gallery. Every month you have to be ready to showcase new artworks for the following month, which includes always one 1st Friday showing. We like to showcase the diversity of your style. During your residency you will showcase at least once on one of the front room panels in the main room, and will rotate during your residency time on different wall spaces in Jana’s RedRoom.

Every residence Artist, we call them Angel , will get named on our Website , with links to his/her social media links. We are promoting your artworks over FB and Instagram.

The Gallery is open 7 days the week from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Jana’s RedRoom is an art selling Gallery, all showcased artworks have to be for sale. Pricing will handle the Artist , Artist cut on sales as an Angel is 80%.

Jana’s RedRoom also host upcoming events in the RedRoom and outside the Patios in collaboration with Taco Huevos and the Urban Lounge , Restaurant and Bar located in the Artsfactory.

Under The Sea!

Jana’s RedRoom held its first ever event this past Sunday! Sweet miss Zoe turned 4 and had a fabulous Under the Sea party! Eddie and Nicolle did a beautiful job of making the RedRoom a magical under the sea wonderland. Thank you so much to all of the artists that contributed sea art for the party and for making Zoe’s day that much more special! The Bloody Mary bar, mermaid cake, delicious horderves, real life mermaid, bubbles, decorations and happy kids made for a great first here at the RedRoom! Zoe’s parents really know how to throw a SPECTACULAR birthday party!

It is a privilege to open up the gallery for events and get to extend this room to the community. Event pricing starts as low as $300, call for booking and prices!

Omayra Amador Wheat Paste Workshop

Attention street art enthusiasts, we are offering our FIRST EVER class here at Jana’s RedRoom in the exciting art of Wheat Paste! Have you ever walked down the streets of Las Vegas, stopped in your tracks at a powerful image pasted onto a building, and wondered how it’s done? Well this class is perfect for you.

Omayra Amador, creator of the infamous Milk the Bunny, is holding a Wheat Paste workshop on Monday, JULY 6th or Monday, JULY 13th 6-8 pm. This is a great opportunity to learn the art of Wheat Paste from Omayra herself for only $30! This is such a sweet deal for a 2 hour class that includes the materials. Wheat Paste is a fun and exciting form of street art and this workshop is something you don’t wanna miss out on!

2015 Elite Artist Team’s Work is HERE!

Back in January I hand selected 18 artists to be this years Elite Artist team. With a roster of over 200 local artists it was really challenging to find just 18 to represent my team of amazing artists; and if I might add; it is always so emotional for me, because I love all my artists so deeply. So anyway, I managed to do it, and I handed the 18 selected artists each a 10x10x1 inch blank canvas and said, “Do what you will with it” … and, boy, did they ever deliver! Their artwork is here! And, you will not believe what you will see … It is such a stunning representation of the vast variety of art we represent here at Jana’s RedRoom.

Also, I am excited to announce I have my first Resident Artist! Just so you know what that means … a resident artist here at Jana’s RedRoom, is an artist who is ready to turn their entire body of work over to the RedRoom Team to manage. I am happy to announce that Sally Valentine is our very first. I am so excited, because her work will knock your socks off! It is as I like to say … oh so yummy! As a resident artist she will get her own RedRoom online store and her work goes into product development with our team of designers. More to come on this soon.

I have dropped into our space, the most gorgeous baby grand keyboard, and my brother WYLEY has come in all the way from Southaven MS, just to play exclusively for RedRoom artists and fans! You do not wanna miss this evening of toasts and cheers as we celebrate the NEW Happiest Place On Earth – Jana’s RedRoom!

P.S. A note about our hours: We strive to be open everyday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. but sometimes things come up in the schedules of our Gallery Guys and Gals, who volunteer to be here. Please be patient as will build up a larger roster of people so that we are sure to always be here. FYI my schedule never varies … it is Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday from 11 to 4 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Except on Preview Thursday then I am here from 4 p.m. until the party ends!

Huge changes in the mix for Jana’s RedRoom!

At the RedRoom we feel truly privileged to be moving into the world famous Trifecta Gallery on February 1st. We are moving there, fully aware, that no one could ever replace Marty Walsh and the amazing experiences she gave us all for over 10 year here in the Arts Factory. She will be forever missed in the 18b Las Vegas Arts Distract.

Future plans for Jana’s RedRoom will be revealed to our 200+ artists on February 8^th at 6 p.m. and then to the public soon there after. We will reveal our 5-point business plans for RedRoom Grand, plus talk about our amazing RedRoom gallery, which is staying with it’s original business motto, but is doubling in size, exclusively for our many beloved local artists.

The NEW Happiest Place on Earth will be under major construction in the month of February and is expected to open Preview Thursday, March 5th 2015 at 4 p.m. Stay tuned guys … a ton of exciting stuff is on the way!

Come Paint with JANA this weekend!

Hey Art kids … Tony, manager of the Bar+Bistro has offered local artists to come out and paint on the patio for Life is Beautiful this Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. til ?? – I thought it would be fun for RedRoom Artist’s to get cracking on our Christmas Ornaments. (Or anything else you wanna paint) Sound fun?

He is offering $4 beers and Well Drinks … oh, and there will be music … Lounge Orphans (Friday) and Red Grooves (Saturday.

Anyway, I’ll be setting up around 4 pm this on Friday and Saturday. So bring your supplies and come creature with me!! More info coming soon! (I’m sure I did not tag everyone so spread the word!

Pop Bang and Sparkle!

I am so excited to celebrate our independence on the 4th of July at the Arts Factory!

I live in the greatest country in the world, where I can create anything I want without censorship … how cool is that?!? And even more exciting is that I live in a city where people love and support my local artists at Jana’s RedRoom … Yippi!!

Anyway, I bought some fire crackers to help us celebrate!

Please come Preview Thursday to Jana’s RedRoom … this month I am featuring more local artists than ever before. The party starts at 6 p.m. at Jana’s RedRoom and ends with fireworks and sparklers at 9 p.m. on the Bar + Bistro Patio located at the Arts Factory … YAY!! … Thank you Wes Myles, Owner of the Arts Factory, for letting us do this! Introducing “Transportal”

Ok, ok … I know “Transportal” is not a real word … but when I paint my dreams … I think I’m aloud to make up a word that best describes my painting. The world depicted is this oil painting is of a dream I had … A dream I had, I think, in part, because my niece Ashley is pregnant … And that is just amazing to me. Her egg was chosen and it is about to be “Transported” in to my world! How cool is that??
