The winner’s show will be hung in the Grand Room. Artists who are not selected to be in the juried show will not miss out on this fun experience. The show will be judged by a panel of established jurors…Roberto Rico and Alexander P. Huerta and Kd Matheson.
Roberto Rico is an award-winning artist. He has taught all around the world. Roberto is the current President of Nevada Watercolor Society, past President of the Vegas Artists Guild, is on the Board of Directors of The Henderson Artists Association, and is on the Board of Directors of the Distract Artz. Alexander P. Huerta is a self-taught visual artist.
Alexander is the embodiment of the Las Vegas Arts Distract. He is someone who has positively impacted each and every artist that has had the pleasure of meeting him. Beyond touching the hearts of local artists, Alexander has also taught our local youths here in Las Vegas. You’ll find his studio “PeacenArt”, were he creates his remarkable pieces of art, in the world famous Arts Factory in downtown Las Vegas’s Arts Distract.
KD Matheson is an amazing local figure here in the Las Vegas Arts Distract. He produces art of the fantastic and surreal…paintings of otherworldly visions and dreamscapes, magical, timeless, arcane, psychedelic and macabre.
The winner will receive a future featured show at Jana’s RedRoom, a press release about them and their T-shirt design and a personal gift from Jana Lynch herself. Deadline to reserve your shirt for the juried show is October 3rd. Shirts will be ready for pick up on October 15th! Deadline to submit your finished shirt is December 15th.
In other exciting news we will be displaying all of our upcoming classes Jana’s RedRoom has to offer on one of our main walls in the Grand Room. We have a such a variety of talented teachers…Omayra Amador with her wonderful wheat pasting, Michael Volpicelli and his enamoring drawing classes, Julinya Vidigal De Vince and her beautiful figure drawing, and Liz Gini with her stunning floral watercolor classes.
