What a mixture of amazing artists featuring at Jana’s RedRoom for the month of August!…Not to mention the super fun art from our 2015 Artists Camping Retreat!

We have invited the always lovely Lisa Herr and her mind blowing animal themed pieces that you won’t be able to take your eyes off of. Lisa is excited to be unveiling her largest industrial chic art piece to date at Jana’s RedRoom this month. Her highly unique approach blends multiple mediums together with a wide range of abstract elements to create something stunning, vibrant and fresh. Her goal was to have each piece reflect her deep passion for the animals she depicts, and also, to inspire people to take a responsible role in our co-existence with them….and boy she has done just that!

We are also very lucky to say that Jana’s RedRoom is featuring the mind blowing Don Michael Jr. Using acrylic paint and paper maché, Don Michael, Jr. creates surreal canvasses featuring vivid color and 3-dimensional elements which incorporate realistic imagery juxtaposed against chaotic, abstract expressionistic masses of color. His works never disappoints. The way he mixes colors excites the eye in a way that will blow your socks off!

Another beautifully talented artist that we are blessed with this month is the innovative Annie Wildbear. She is featuring two imaginative pieces this month. “OWS – We The People” is a brilliant piece done in acrylic on metal panel. This piece captures a particular moment in our nation’s history and is sure to touch the hearts of all.  “Lucky” is a delightful piece done in acrylic on recycled wood panel. With four leaf clovers, horseshoes, a pot of gold and your very own good luck charm it is the art that you expect to find at the end of every rainbow.

Last but certainly not least is the always extraordinary Mannie Rubio. He will be showcasing something a little different from his beautifully grotesque aberrations but equally as stunning. All done in oil, his sumptuous and saucy “Flamenco Dancer” is seductive and tantalizing to boot.

OK! It’s finally here!!! Jana’s RedRoom’s first ever JURIED SHOW coming in January 2016. Come and reserve your spot today…by paying the $35 entree fee it includes your canvas which will be our new cotton blend T-Shirt “Color with Me” designed by the fabulous Annie Wildbear and Jana Lynch.

The winner’s show will be hung in the Grand Room. Artists who are not selected to be in the juried show will not miss out on this fun experience. Your work will be displayed in our Salon Gallery and will be available for sale. This is great resume builder guys!! TOO MUCH FUN!

The show will be judged by a panel of established jurors…Roberto Rico and Alexander P. Huerta. Our third and final juror will be announced at a later date and time. Rumor has is the third juror is Kd Matheson … more info coming soon!

Roberto Rico is an award winning artist. He has taught all around the world. Roberto is the current President of Nevada Watercolor Society, past President of the Vegas Artists Guild, is on the Board of Directors of The Henderson Artists Association, and is on the Board of Directors of the Distract Artz. Alexander P. Huerta is a self taught visual artist. Alexander is the embodiment of the Las Vegas Arts Distract. He is someone who has positively impacted each and every artist that has had the pleasure of meeting him. Beyond touching the hearts of local artists, Alexander has also taught our local youths here in Las Vegas. You’ll find his studio “PeacenArt”, were he creates his remarkable pieces of art, in the world famous Arts Factory in downtown Las Vegas’s Arts Distract.

The winner will receive a future featured show at Jana’s RedRoom, a press release about them and their T-shirt design and a little personal gift from Jana Lynch herself.

Preview Thursday is here!! Celebrate the next two days with us at Jana’s RedRoom. Let me just give a huge thank you once again to all of our unbelievable artists. This wouldn’t be possible without you guys. Each and everyone of you are such a blessing in our lives. I can try to verbalize how much it means to us but that won’t do it justice….there are no words, truly.

We are very excited to have such a variety of amazing talents to be our featured artists in the Grand Room for the month of July. Kathy Morton Stanion, Lisa Fields Clark, Omayra Amador, Izaac Baron Zevalking and our very own Jana Lynch have graced us with their alluring artwork in our main gallery. I’ve seen the show and WOW!!…what a smorgasbord of gorgeous art this month!

…And remember, the RedRoom is where all kinds of walks of life can come together to share in something special. A place where you can truly be yourself, a place where you can find yourself. It’s about shining a light on the local artists of Las Vegas.
